Welcome: Lavender Hydrosol, Rose Hydrosol, and Farm Blend Hydrosol 

Single ingredient hydrosols help to target more specific skin conditions but can also be used generally for most skin types. And the blend is our very first active hydrosol, previously distilled just for our spa partners. Let’s break down the skin benefits of these super limited and very special distillations.

Lavender Hydrosol

A plant known all over the world for its stress relieving and sleep inducing properties, we bring back Lavender Hydrosol, a special distillation harvested by Team Botnia from a Healdsburg Family Farm, Sophie’s Five Acres.

Lavender hydrosol exudes a sweet, clean, woody aroma with hints of mint. It feels instantly cooling on the skin and guides the nervous systems into a place of calm, rest, and relaxation. Its cooling properties work to reduce heat and swelling in the skin, while its antiseptic nature brings comfort to troubled areas.

Who it’s good for: This hydrosol is safe for all skin types (even babies!) but specifically indicated for those with oily constituents or sensitive, inflamed skin during times of breakouts and for those with acne-prone skin.

Rose Hydrosol

Harvested from our microfarm, this hydrosol smells like a bed of roses. Roses are humectant, which means that they add and retain moisture, plumping the skin and are an ally for normal, dry, wise and sensitive skin. It’s mildly astringent, which helps to tighten and tone tissues and give the appearance of smooth skin. Vitamins C and E in roses help to boost collagen in the skin and prevent wrinkles. The anti-inflammatory properties make it a great addition for inflamed, sensitive skin types and helps protect the skin from environmental damage. It has mild antiseptic properties and its cooling effects are perfect to add into your home apothecary, or throw into your travel bag for a refreshing tonic to use daily.

Who it’s good for: All skin types, especially sensitive and wise skin

Farm Blend Hydrosol

Made with lavender, rose geranium, chamomile, arnica and helichrysum exclusively grown on our micro-farm, each plant was chosen for their specific medicinal properties and skin benefits.

An exclusive blend distilled for our spa partners this past summer, this is our most active hydrosol we’ve ever formulated. It’s herbaceous with an herbal tea-like aromatic. It’s slightly more active than other hydrosols because of the added blood cleansing arnica. Chamomile helps to keep the skin balanced, alongside helichrysum which both help to calm and restore. Lavender and rose geranium offer hydration and cooling relief.

This hydrosol is great for those looking to add an active hydrosol into their home care regimen. 

Who it’s good for: Inflamed, acneic skin
