Plastics are part of our world, but that doesn't mean our packaging system has to be status quo. That’s why we’re changing our relationship with plastic and aim to promote a forever plastic mindset. At Botnia, we think of plastics as things we can use forever because they don’t break down naturally the way organic matter does. For example, with polyethylene terephthalate or PET plastic (like in water bottles and household cleaning bottles), it can take anywhere from 20 to 500 years to naturally decompose depending on the structure and elemental factors. How to clean and reuse our plastic pumps

With a little TLC our plastic pumps and spray tops can be reused with your bottles again and again. Here’s how to clean and reuse this plastic:

1. Unscrew and recycle the aluminum cap that comes with your product. Or unscrew the plastic pump/spray top from your existing bottle.

2. Wipe the plastic pump/spray top with a clean cloth or paper towel.

3. Transfer the plastic top to a new aluminum bottle.

4. Enjoy your fresh skincare!

You can also skip using our plastic pumps with our new aluminum packaging by unchecking the box for the pump when it’s in your cart! Since our pumps are sold separately, if you want to pass on the plastic, you can!

Treatment pump: This treatment pump has a number of components: clear PP cap, spring-loaded pump, cap, and dip tube. To dispose: reuse or landfill.
Compatible with: Balancing Oil Cleanser, Hydrating Serum, Replenishing Facial Oil, Wisdom Oil, Clarity Oil, Daily Face Cream Light, Restorative Face Cream, Eye Cream, Travel sized products

Foamer pump: The foamer pump on our Daily Face Wash and Renewing Face Wash comes with a clear PP hood. To dispose: reuse or landfill.
