How to become a Botnia esthetician
Choosing a skincare line is so much more than a business decision. You’re making a choice about the health of your guests’ skin. There are many angles to consider when bringing anything new to your practice, and if you’ve ever wondered if Botnia would be the right match for your business - or you’re curious about our partnership process - this is your go-to guide.
Do you offer education or training on how to use the products?
Education is at the heart of what we do, and as a Botnia partner you’ll have access to initial training as well as continuing education. Here’s what’s included as part of this special partnership:

-
Access to our online education library
-
Annual two-day esthetician workshop
-
Ongoing live masterclasses
-
Community check-in calls
-

Free access to Intro to Holistic Esthetics class
Do you offer ways to get started with Botnia on a smaller scale?
If you’re new to Botnia, or if you’re shifting your practice to focus on facials, we have a couple of ways to help you ease into using our line while you learn the art of customization with your new plants. You’ll have the same whole-plant ingredients and philosophy as our full apothecary, but with a smaller assortment that’s tailored to where you’re at in your business.
What makes Botnia different from other professional skincare lines?
Botnia takes a different approach from many of the “squeeze and apply” lines out there. Most professional back bars are built around general ideas about skin types, but as you know from hours in the treatment room, there’s no one-size-fits-all formula.
Botnia was designed as an apothecary, giving you all of the tools you need to treat each guest specifically. In your treatment room, you’ll feel like a chef, chemist, artist, and herbalist all at once, creating specialized treatments with quality plants that feed the skin vital nutrition. As estheticians, we also perform case studies to track results for specific skin conditions. Our goal is to support the skin barrier - never compromising it for the sake of quick results.
Do I need to be a licensed esthetician to open a wholesale account?
We typically work with licensed estheticians, but if you’re an acupuncturist, massage therapist, or dual practitioner looking to bring Botnia to your practice and your retail offerings, we’d love to start the conversation! Although we do require our partners to hold an active license (per your State Board requirements), it’s never too early to start dreaming up all of the details of your practice. We offer an online class called Intro to Holistic Esthetics that’s open to holistic professionals and students. It’s a great way to learn more about Botnia while diving deeper into a holistic approach to healing skin.
Who is the Botnia community?
A Botnia partnership is something truly special, and one of the most unique parts in addition to the skincare tools is having a supportive community around you. With the nature of what we do as estheticians, it can feel somewhat isolating - especially as a solo business (sometimes even more as a holistic practitioner) - but this is where community becomes just as important as the work itself. Your fellow Botnia estheticians are here to learn, grow and cheer you on in your business. It’s the supportive space of friendly faces you hoped might exist in the skincare industry.
Is there an application process to get started?
If you’re ready to start the process, we’d love to meet you! Apply for a partnership by filling out a wholesale application here.
Because every one of our partnerships is so special, we take the time to thoughtfully look at your application and learn about your business. We always love to hear more about your vision for your unique practice and how Botnia fits into that vision for you and your guests. Our ultimate goal is to offer professional skincare tools to those who seek them and are aligned in the belief that all skin should be treated uniquely and with whole, healthy ingredients.
I’m so excited you’re thinking about Botnia for your practice. We’re cheering you on big time and can’t wait to connect!
