Botnia Holiday Soiree
Thank you so very much to each and everyone of you who were able to make it to our Holiday Soiree last night! Whether you came and stayed and mingled or had to just swing through, it really, truly meant the world to us to see y’all and feel your support during this exciting time. So again thank you, thank you, thank you!
If you weren’t able to join us, I can report back that Justine was absolutely beaming. For her to be surrounded by so much support and excitement after years of work, countless nights of burning the midnight oil into the wee hours, and so much blood, sweat and tears to bring Botnia to life meant the absolute world to her. Last night she really got to see and feel her dream to bring you skincare that truly loves your skin come to fruition. And as someone who not only works with Justine but also counts her as one of my dearest friends, my heart sang to see her get to share the realization of that dream with so many.
Oh, and did I mention that the party was an absolute blast! There was food. There were cocktails. There were amazing conversations all around. All of our products, in their brand new, fully redesigned packaging, were on display for so many to see for the very first time. I even made a huge batch of homemade gingerbread cookies to mark the occasion. Mirth and merriment filled the Skin Remedy spa to the brim!
The full Botnia product line was definitely the star of the show, but I would wager that if you were to ask anyone who attended about the runner up, he or she would point to the special cocktail we whipped up for the evening. It was such a hit that it was quickly branded as the official Botnia cocktail! We wanted to brew up something that was fun and festive and that also showcased some of the beautiful botanicals that make our products so potent and nourishing. So in the spirit of the season, I’d like to share our recipe with you in case you’d like to do something special for one of your holiday events. Much love and joy to you all from me and Justine!
1 oz: Rosemary-infused vodka (we cut several sprigs of fresh rosemary and infused the vodka with them for about 2 weeks)
1 Tablespoon: Lavender Simple Syrup (For this, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil and then added 1 tablespoon of dried lavender flowers. Immediately cut the heat and let steep for a few minutes. Strain out the flowers and let cool.)
2 oz: Grapefruit Juice
2 oz: Soda Water
Mint Leaf for Garnish
*We served them in a champagne flute and they looked.
